Christmas in the Country is one of the community of Shandon’s most beloved holiday celebrations.

 

This year's Annual Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Country event is November 28-29, 2015 and features a variety of family friendly holiday activities for your Shandon, Ohio Christmas.

Christmas in the Country is Shandon's biggest event of the year, taking place the Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving, and offers guests an assortment of fun activities to choose from. Enjoy home-cooked food, signature Welsh cakes, arts and crafts and a wide selection of beautiful antiques, gifts, and furniture housed inside the St. Aloysius Church and the Shandon Congregational Church community houses.

 

Bring the whole family! The Shandon, Ohio Christmas celebration will offer exciting kid's entertainment activities like story telling, and free horse-drawn carriage rides. Meet Santa Claus in the Old Fire House, stroll through the Old Welsh Cemetery, take a ride on the trolley, warm up with some home-made food and enjoy in the sounds of live traditional Welsh harp music.

 

On Saturday, a stunning antique train locomotive display will be available for viewing. Christmas in the Country is free and open to the public.
