Butler County New Developments

Butler County, Ohio is consistently evolving and expanding! New entertainment, dining, and accommodation options are always on the horizon. Take a look at just some of the new developments for the upcoming year here.


The City of Middletown will begin construction on the 1.4-mile bike path from Middletown to Franklin in 2020. This is a very significant and important new bike path as it will now connect with a multitude of national trails including Ohio’s Buckeye Trail, the national North Country Trail, U.S. Bike Route 50, and the Great American Rail Trail.


IFLY has opened its first Ohio location at Liberty Center. Hop into the vertical wind tunnel to at this indoor skydiving experience to simulate freefall.


In The Game, a family entertainment center and restaurant, is slated to open in 16,000 square feet between The Roosevelt Room and Cobb Bistro at Liberty Center in spring 2020. This new entertainment center will feature arcade gaming, six-lane bowling boutique, virtual reality, and an axe-throwing arena.


The 180-acre park in Madison Township announced it is working on two new multi-million dollar attractions, both of which should be ready within the next two years. The result of which will make the Park open 365 days per year. In addition, the park is adding several primitive camp set-ups and RV hookup spots.


The City of Fairfield finalized their Fairfield Forward strategic plan. The redevelopment of Marsh Park as a water-based recreation site with access to the Great Miami River has been identified as a new project.


Spooky Nook Sports Champion Mill in Hamilton, Ohio is slated to open in 2022. This exciting new sports complex will be the region's largest indoor sports complex.

The Voice of America Athletic Complex is a premier athletic facility in Butler County. The complex boasts 22 multi-purpose athletic fields that can be utilized for soccer, lacrosse, archery, Ultimate Frisbee, cricket, and more.

The field house is an exciting addition to the Voice of America Athletic Complex. The field house has a concessions area, a storage area for equipment, restrooms, and trainer’s rooms.
