After humble beginnings as a home-bakery, Luke's Custom Cakes opened in Hamilton, Ohio in the summer of 2021. Luke Heizer started his business at only 12-years-old and it has grown into a successful spot for cupcakes, cookies, signature cakes, and custom treats for any occasion.

From the Beginning

Luke was only 12-years-old when he sold his first custom cake. He grew up in Trenton, Ohio and got into cake decorating by experimenting and watching youtube videos. Some of his first ever custom cake designs depicted Ironman and Dora the Explorer.

Luke's Custom Cakes started in his family home and Luke never expected his hobby to take off this way— but he's happy it did! After a decade of home baking, he decided to open a storefront in order to accommodate more customers, and offer even more delicious treats.

Along with their incredible custom cakes, Luke's Bakery also offers a variety of different treats available throughout the week. From brownies to cookies to crispy treats and more!

Some of their best-sellers include the Mixed Berry Cookie, Original Crispy Treat, Lemon Brownie, and the Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Depending on the month, the cases at Luke's are also typically filled with seasonal favorites.

Visitors can grab a box to mix-and-match whatever they'd like, or pick up just one for a special treat!

There's even a section in the bakery to shop a variety of cards, candles, cake toppers and gifts for special occasions. Luke's Custom Cakes also take pre-orders for git boxes, as well as their signature custom cakes— perfect for weddings, birthdays, graduations, and many other occasions.

The business all started with his custom cakes, and they are still as popular as they were in the beginning! They offer a selection of pre-designed cakes for last minute orders, as well as a selection of pre-made cakes available in the bakery to pick up first come, first serve. Luke's Custom Cakes takes orders for custom designed cakes, cupcakes, and cookies.

To place a custom order, there are three simple steps...

1. Gather Your Ideas – What do you want your cake to look like? Gather some inspiration photos either from Luke's website, social media or other sites.

2. Place Your Order EARLY – It's never too early to reach out about your custom cake! Give the bakery enough time to discuss your idea and create the perfect cake for your occasion.

3. Fill Out The Request Form – Provide as much information as possible in their Request Form (linked here), and Luke's Custom Cakes will reach out to you with a turnaround time, price quote, and additional next steps.
