The Most Decadent Chocolate Confections

Chocolate Truffles... Chocolate Milkshakes... Chocolate Fudge... Who doesn't love a chocolate dessert? Whether it's for self-indulgence, a Valentine's Day gift or a special family treat, these five shops are serving the most decadent chocolates around Butler County.

1. Ruby's Chocolates

This charming chocolate shop in Hamilton is known for their signature truffle cakes. Ruby's truffle cakes are made similar to a cake-pop but with ganache. Each truffle is made with moist cake, ganache, then covered in Ruby's signature milk, dark, or white chocolate, and finally topped with a salty or sweet finish. With over 20 different flavors and designs, it's nearly impossible to not find more than one favorite. Try cookies and cream, birthday cake, triple chocolate, maple bacon...or my personal favorite, the black raspberry cheesecake! Check out their website to make custom orders for events, weddings, birthdays, Valentine's Day and more.

2. Karma in the Kitchen

This beautiful chocolate shop in West Chester specialized in artisan chocolates, truffles, buttery caramels and "life-changing" fudge. Every chocolate creation is made personally by Karma with fresh ingredients. With over 40 different flavors— from classic chocolate to lemon to peppermint— there are plenty of combinations to satisfy any sweet tooth. Stop by the store to pick out your own combination of chocolates and see what gift boxes are available if they're for a special occasion!

3. Candy Stash Sweets & Treats

This candy shop in Liberty Township is like a real life candy land! And of course, you can't have a great candy store without some great chocolates! The Candy Stash has a large variety of candies, including fresh chocolate covered Oreos, buckeyes, milk chocolate caramels and so much more. My favorite chocolate creation though is actually one of The Candy Stash chocolate milkshakes... complete with whipped cream, chocolate fudge, coconut flakes and a chocolate donut! This is the perfect spot for a date night, family treat, or create a gift basket with some of their goodies.

4. Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop

This fun and quirky candy shop in Middletown has some of the best fudge around! Alongside a candy buffet, a soda wall full of 200+ flavors and candy by the pound, a case full of chocolate fudge and truffles sits right in the middle of Grandpa Joe's. The Chocolate Fudge Meltaways are highly recommended— Grab a few for you and take a box of them home to enjoy with friends and family!

5. Jungle Jim's International Market

Jungle Jim's in Fairfield is known for having unique and unusual items from all over the world in their market, but their Candy Castle section is epic. From candy classics to the latest and greatest, Jungle Jim’s Candy Castle features walls and shelves full of candies, light up candy contraptions, candy bars, lollipops, and so much more. But most importantly...the chocolate. Experience popular chocolates from all over the world— Switzerland, Ireland, Germany, China and that's just to name a few. One of my favorites is the Jungle Jim's Belgium Chocolate Bars that come in all kinds of flavors...sweet, rich, and so delicious!
